Menara Jam Parit Buntar

The tower was officially opened by Tunku Abdul Rahman on August 24, 1961. This clock tower stands as a symbol of Malaysia's prosperity and independence, marking the nation's liberation from colonial rule.


Its design, reminiscent of a mosque's minaret, is truly striking. At the top, you'll find four large clocks, each positioned on the tower's surfaces.

MRSM Transkrian

Maktab Rendah Sains MARA, an MRSM school under the management of MARA, can be found in Mukim 9, Nibong Tebal, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang. Established on 1st April 2002, it is the 34th MRSM institution set up by MARA and the second one in Penang after Maktab Rendah Sains MARA Balik Pulau.

Hospital Parit Buntar

Parit Buntar Hospital, situated in the Kerian district, was initially constructed as a Methodist School building back in 1925. It was repurposed as a hospital in 1931. The facility boasts 100 beds across different wards such as Male Ward (Angerik), Female Ward (Dahlia), Maternity Ward (Mawar), and Pediatric Ward (Melor). Currently, it is overseen by a team of 31 medical officers.
